Aged for 16 months in small barrels and bottled unfiltered, the 2011 Spätburgunder Rechtenbacher displays clear, deep and ripe cherry and dark berry aromas with some floral notes. Full-bodied, quite rich and powerful, this is a quite sweet and creamy textured, well structured Pinot with an intense aftertaste. The tannins are ripe but present, and still somewhat dry. Robert Parker. The Wine Advocate. 90/100.
