Notes de dégustation: belle robe jaune or. Une belle palette aromatique sur des notes citronnées un peu florales. Le jus est beau avec une acidité basse et un boisé parfaitement bien géré. Le vin est gras, avec des beaux amers doux en fin de bouche.

he first white in the portfolio is the 2015 Picarana, pure Albillo from different plots of old vines in the village of San Martín de Valdeiglesias. The grapes were picked very early in 2015 (they started August 4th), a warm and dry vintage, and managed to keep the alcohol levels contained. But, Albillo is an unusual white variety that tends to behave better in warmer years if you harvest early, before acidity drops. 2015 is the warmest vintage they have seen in the zone. The full clusters saw a direct pressing, and the juice fermented in used barriques and foudres. It has aromas of dried flowers, pollen and beeswax, quite subtle and harmonious. They have worked towards achieving a lower alcoholic degree, achieving flavors with less alcohol. The palate is very fresh with the saline sensation of the granite, with good flavors, less dense than your average Albillo. Flavor without width. A very good vintage for Picarana. 13,600 bottles were filled in June 2016. Robert Parker. The Wine Advocate.91/10.
