AOP Wine Yields in France, 1974–2023: Hérault (Languedoc) vs. Gironde (Bordeaux).

While Bordeaux yields are on average 15% higher than those in Languedoc, they also exhibit significantly greater vintage variability, as shown by both the standard deviation and the coefficient of variation. In addition, over the past 30 years, yields have trended downward in both regions.
